Biography

Cortney Tanner is a native Washingtonian with a distinguished career in the field of orthopedics. After earning her Physician Assistant Degree at Jefferson College of Health Sciences, she began practicing at Summit Orthopedics in early 2016. For the first six years of her career, Cortney worked alongside Dr. Philip Bobrow, specializing in management of knee and hip conditions and total joint reconstruction. 

In 2021, Cortney expanded her horizons within the practice. She now assists a broader team of surgeons, covering a number of subspecialties including joint reconstruction, sports medicine, spine procedures, and hand/upper extremity surgery. Cortney's responsibilities also include seeing patients in the clinic, addressing a wide variety of general orthopedic concerns.

Outside of work, Cortney enjoys traveling and cooking.  She also has a particular passion for exploring new restaurants and fine dining experiences. She is very close with her family and friends and values the time she spends them, her husband and her puppy, Holly.
