Biography

Dr. Hintz joined Bone and Joint Specialists in 2023 with a focus on Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine injuries in addition to general Orthopedic care. He completed undergraduate training at Johns Hopkins University where he played football over his 4-year education. He subsequently attended medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in his hometown of Erie, PA.

 

After finishing residency training with LECOM Health in Pennsylvania, he completed a fellowship with MedStar Health in Baltimore, MD focusing on Orthopedic Sports Medicine and assisting with the care of patients and athletes from the recreational and weekend warriors to college and professional level with the Baltimore Ravens. Over the 3 years prior to joining the practice, Dr. Hintz has provided Orthopedic and Sports Medicine care in Pennsylvania focusing on surgical and non-surgical care of the knee and shoulder in addition to general Orthopedic care and coverage of high school athletics and minor league baseball. In his spare time, Dr. Hintz enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, woodworking, fishing, and teaching Orthopedic Surgery Residents.
