To keep up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Gardner maintains professional a membership with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the National Medical Association, the Virginia Medical Society, the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Washington Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Gardner is renowned for his expertise in Arthroscopic Surgery of the ankle, knee, shoulder and hip, fracture care, Robotic Assisted Surgery, and war extremity injuries. Additionally, Dr. Gardner is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and has received several military awards including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his care of critically wounded Marines and Navy Sailors injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. For his excellence, Dr. Gardner has been recognized as a Top Doctor in Northern Virginia Magazine, and in the Washington Magazine. He has been a contributor to various television and radio sports talk shows as a medical analyst, and attributes his great success to his training and belonging to an established practice. When he is not assisting patients, Dr. Gardner likes to relax by golfing and fishing.
