About the CAO Research Foundation
The CAO Research Foundation is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to improve patients’ lives through collaborative support of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal research. They strive to serve their community by addressing common orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and sports-related injuries and by prioritizing practical research with wide-ranging potential applications. The Foundation’s portfolio of activities will include a diverse array of initiatives to advance the medical and scientific community’s knowledge of these injuries, including their prevention and treatment.
The formation of the Foundation was inspired by research being performed at the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics, a leading provider of comprehensive musculoskeletal care with sixty locations throughout Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland (“CAO”).
